Towneley Park
Walk through the extensive woodland surrounding Towneley Hall and discover beautiful trees and shrubs, nature trails, artwork and sculptures hewn from the fallen trees and natural landscape. The gardens next to the hall are more formal with a Victorian flower garden, pond and fountain that has recently been restored as part of the Towneley Park Restoration Programme a 5 year project funded by the Heritage Lottery, which also includes the restoration of the ornamental gardens refurbishment of the playground, improved car parking, visitor facilities and footpaths
Two golf courses, pitch and putt, tennis courts and bowling greens as well as a play area for children are available for everyone to enjoy and Towneley Park plays host to a variety of events throughout the year including the Burnley Balloon Festival in July, Classic Car Show in August and the Heritage and Woodland Festival in September. Meals and snacks are available from the café in the Old Stables next to the Hall and from the new Riverside kiosk.
