Burnley Markets date back to 1294 and still have a faithful following who love to browse around the Market Hall where you can buy anything from tasty Lancashire Cheese and award-winning black puddings to sewing thread and knitting wool.

Burnley town centre has a growing variety of venues for people looking to have an early morning cuppa or lunchtime drink, somewhere to wind down after work or to simply take a breather from all the retail therapy. By Christmas 2012 the re-development of the Market Square should be completed with larger retail units and a new cafe bringing even more choice to Charter Walk Shopping Centre just in time for the festive season.
