From the 6th – 9th September Burnley takes part in the biggest free celebration of England’s Architecture, History and Culture. Heritage Open Days gives access for everyone to this country’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. Properties that are not usually open , or would normally charge an entrance fee open their doors for free and events are organized especially for this weekend.
You can join the behind the scenes tours where you can find the hidden places and forgotten corners of Towneley Hall, enjoy a trip around Moorhouses Brewery or take a look around Burnley Football Club. Learn from the experts on guided walks across the borough or visit your favourite attractions all for FREE!.
And don’t forget the special events planned especially for this weekend, the Burnley Canal Festival in the Weavers’ Triangle and the Heritage and Woodland Day a fantastic finale to this fabulous celebration.
