Mid Pennine Arts is a driving force for the arts in Pennine Lancashire. Recognised nationally for devising and delivering exemplary integrated arts programmes that inspire, raise aspirations and enrich lives. They bring art, people and places together to transform perceptions and change the way we live.
The organisation works primarily in Pennine Lancashire on transformational arts projects and contemporary exhibitions, they provide a strategic overview of the arts and work closely in partnership with local authorities, communities and others to increase the understanding of arts.
Their best know work is undoubtedly the Panopticons project which included Burnley’s award-winning Singing Ringing Tree, as well as Colourfields in Blackburn, Halo in Rossendale and The Atom in Pendle.
Mid Pennine Arts now have their offices in the Weavers’ Triangle in Burnley and are working to help with the regeneration of the area. They organise many events and exhibitions throughout the year using the whole of Pennine Lancashire as their gallery, look out for future arts events designed to inspire everyone.
