Bring your family to see our family!

At HAPPA (The Horses and Ponies Protection Association) you can meet our horses, ponies and donkeys and see at first hand the work we do. Our equines have been rescued from neglect and cruelty; now rehabilitated, see them in their stables or running free on our land. Visitors are welcome to make a fuss of the friendly animals and there are opportunities to sponsor our equines through the Golden Oldies or Adoption Scheme. Some equines are available for re-homing through the loan scheme which is open to  people who can give our animals the great life they deserve.

Posh Frocks to Walking Boots

Come along to our year round fundraising events and support this equine charity, from the annual HAPPA ball in the spring to the blessing of the horses at Christmas. The centre is on the Burnley Way and guided walks in the surrounding area take place throughout the year including a special ‘Ponies and Puppies’ walk as part of the Burnley Walking Festival.  Walkers are welcome in the visitor centre where delicious cakes and warming brews are served in the tearoom and there is gift shop specialising in equine related gifts and souvenirs.
