Burnley Market Hall

In 1294 Edward 1 granted a charter to Henry de Lacy, Earl of Lincoln and his heirs

Since that time Burnley’s market has been the centre of the town, the place where people congregated to shop, exchange ideas and meet family and friends. The hustle and bustle of past times can only be imagined, but today the market and market hall offer visitors a choice of more than 150 stalls selling everything from fruit and vegetables, award-winning cold meats and black puddings to clothes, lighting, flowers and jewellery.

Burnley Markets offers some of the best prices in the North West, has many locally sourced products and you will be served by some of the friendliest people.
