Golfball

Burnley Golf Club sits high on the moors with panoramic views of the town and surrounding countryside, designed by James Braid it weaves across the moors making excellent use of the contours of the land.

Founded in 1905 as a nine-hole course, Glen View was lengthened to 18 holes in 1914. In the years since then, the course has been continually improved as has the clubhouse to provide modern facilities to members and visitor alike. This fair but challenging course becomes more demanding when the wind sweeps across the moorland; it is among the top five courses in Pennine Lancashire.

Tuition is available to adults and children who can learn to play golf under the guidance of the clubs professionals.
