Cricket

BURNLEY are one of the most illustrious clubs in the Lancashire League history. With 14 title wins and six Worsley Cup triumphs, Burnley have traditionally been one of the teams to beat.

The teams strong youth policy has produced many young players who have gone on to play at higher levels. In recent years these have included Michael Brown (Hampshire, Middlesex and Surrey), David Brown (Gloucestershire), Jonathan Clare (Derbyshire), and of course James Anderson (Lancashire and England) who have all excelled at first class cricket.

The ground is located just a couple of minutes from the town centre next to Burnley Football Club. In fact the cricket club was in existance before the football club and invited them to join them at the Turf Moor ground, this special relationship between the two clubs still exists today. Fans can even enjoy both sport in one day, depending on the time of the year, with Clarets supporters enjoying a Saturday fixture before popping into the cricket match to see the end of an innings on their way home.

The club house over looking the pitch is available to hire for functions and events and the club is always looking for new members to join them on match days and at social functions.
